Performances:
Vikram Prabhu has delivered a descent performance that is totally in contrast to his debut Kumki. Though his act as a passionate helpful common man is appealing, he has to concentrate on his dancing.
Surabhi was given enough space to perform and the debutant actress has perfectly emoted in both her romantic and emotional scenes. She is pretty on screen and has long way in Kollywood.
Vamsi Krishna has delivered a mature performance yet again. As a villain, Vamsi is a tough competitor to the protogonists in the tinsel town.
Though he was given limited scenes, Ganesh Venkatram bloomed his charishma as a stylish police officer and leaves an impact in the audiences mind.
Technical Analysis:
Director Saravanan has proved his skills in blending an action thriller with right mix of comedy and love portions. But his screenplay takes a dip in the second half, even when there are few scenes that grab viewers attention.
C.Sathya's music is worth mentioning, as bacground plays key role in action thrillers. While only two of his songs are outstanding on sceen.
Newguy Shakthi's cinematography is impressive, especially in the first half. Editing by A. Sreekar Prasad is ok, but could have done better as there are few dragging scenes in the second half.
Analysis:
Ivan Veramathiri, as tthe title suggests our hero is totally different, but not in negative sense. Vikram plays a gutsy guy, where a common man takes on evil powers and try to punish the criminal. In such cases usually people just blame Police and Government instead of taking immediate measures.
M. Saravanan has almost taken the film to perfection, but un-noticingly leaves few nuances in the seconf half. First half of Ivan Veeramathiri is racy with enough romance, comedy and action sequences compared to the second half, which is equally surpassed with some drawn out scenes that grabs viewers attention. Interval shot, pre-climax and climax scenes are the assets of the film.
