However, both fail in their respective businesses and how does they solve their problems is all about Jabardasth.
Performances
Siddharth looked good and he tries his best to fit into the lovable comic and massy Bairraju role, though it doesn’t work at times.
Samantha does well as Shreya. With her charming looks and striking performance, Samantha scores well. Nithya Menon hogs the limelight in the special yet limited role she has done. Thagubothu Ramesh, Telangana Sakuntala and Dharmavarapu Subramanyam bring out few laughs. Srihari is impressive as always and so is Sayaji Shinde. Others were adequate.
Technical Analysis
Thaman’s tunes are energetic and catchy and are utterly in sync with the spirit of the movie, Meghamala song is shot well while the cinematography is neat. Dialogues are good. Editing is just alright and art direction is impressive. Nandini Reddy’s direction is good while the screenplay is predictable though entertaining in parts. Production values are good.
Analysis
The expectations on Jabardast are good due to the good cast and crew and also Nandini Reddy’s first film Ala Modalaindi having a fresh feel. Shockingly, Jabardasth is the rip off of Bollywood hit Band Baaja Baraat. The premise of story including certain scenes is taken from Band Baaja Baraat though the story is blend of Telugu nativity. The film will not impress the audience who has already watched Band Baaja Baraat and who are looking for the fresh feel like Ala Modalaindi.
Jabardasth takes off neatly with Sunil’s voiceover and Sid, Samantha’s characterizations introduction but the first half of the film moves at a bit slow pace while the second half is a bit relieving with Nithya Menon, Thagubothu Ramesh, Srihari roles. Logic has gone for a toss big time and the director has done so to incorporate the comic elements. The love track or the emotional scenes between the lead pair looks unrealistic ad so the climax faded off.
